Court documents show Joshua Thome of Terre Haute, Ind., is in custody after allegedly stealing an estimated $250,000 to $300,000 from VIP Roofing and Exteriors, Terre Haute, according to yahoo!news.
Police began investigating Thome after the owner of VIP Roofing and Exteriors contacted police to file a report alleging Thome had opened a bank account under the company’s name. Thome was hired as general manager of VIP Roofing and Exteriors and did not have the permission or authority to open an account.
The company owner also told police several other bank accounts were found with a bank VIP Roofing and Exteriors did not use, and Thome and the roofing company were attached to those accounts.
Police said they found multiple instances where Thome allegedly pocketed money for work done by VIP Roofing and Exteriors.
Court documents say the company lost an estimated $250,000 to $300,000 through various frauds and thefts during the past 18 months.
